This study was carried out to observe the effect of dental resources on dental care behvior in regional medical insurance. For the purpose, the data of dental insurance were compared with 2 districtions of urban area(Suwon) and rural area(Whasung
country) and the duration is from April to June, 1990 and 1993 year, each.
@ES The obtained results are as followed:
@EN 1. Average insured persons per household as of June 1990 were 3.42 persons i urban area, and 3.71 persons in rural area and the ones as of June 1993 were 3.30 persons in urban area and 3.31 persons in rural area.
2. Claims per 1,000 insured persons from April to June 1990 were 77 in urban area in urban area and 43 in rural area, and the ones from April to June 1993 91 in urban area and 73 rural area, but it's still high in urban area now.
3. Days of medication per claim from April to June 1990 were 1.69 days in urban area and 1.97 days in rural area, and the area, and the ones from April to June 1993 were 3.40 days in urban area, and 3.71 days in rural area.
4. Days of visit per claim from April to June 1990 were 1.61 days in urban area and 1.63 days in rural area, and the ones from April to June 1993 were 1.60 days in urban area and 1.73 days in rural area.
5. Expenses per insured person form April to June 1990 were 1.068won in urban area and 574won in rural area, and the ones from April to June 1990 were 1.445 won in urban area and 1,203won in rural area.
6. Expenses per claim from April to June 1990 were 13,783 won in urban area and 13,285 won in rural area, and the ones from April to June 1993 were 15,958 won in urban area and 16,466 won in rural area.
7. The claims and expenses are higher in urban area under the age of forty years, higher i rural area over the age of forty years.
8. Claims and expenses by 999 classification of disease were in order of disease of hard tissues of teeth, disease of pulp and periapical tissues, gingival and periodontal disease, disorders of tooth development and eruption, and the above
disease
occupled almost dental diseases.
